Food for thought with Troy
Posted on May 20th, 2012
I don’t know why I kept calling it Turkey Chili in the beginning…it’s chicken. Pretty bummed my stuffed pita video didn’t work :/ As usual the damn sound is off, I am really hoping to get access to a flip camera or a different camera by my next video. I used (for a 1 quart crock pot): 1lb ground chicken 1 green bell pepper 1/2 small white onion 2 medium tomatoes Half of a medium sweet potato (diced) A can of Organic Kidney beans Chili powder Oregano Cumin Salt (teeny bit) Pepper Shove it all in there and mix it up (raw) and cook on low for at least 8 hours (to make sure chicken is cooked thoroughly). A big thing with slow cookers is not to bug it, turn it on and go to sleep or go have your day and forget about it til it’s ready, because the slowcooker utilizes the steam and bit of pressure that builds up under the lid to cook everything all the way through.
